HackLab Santa Rosa

Hackerspace in progress…

Hello!

Welcome, Traveler! If you are reading this paragraph, you have stumbled upon HackLab Santa Rosa’s corner of the internet. You probably heard about us from Reddit or Discord; maybe a friend or family member told you about us. You probably have many questions, so let’s start answering some of them.

Who we are

HackLab Santa Rosa is a community of exciting people. We are students, adults, makers, hackers, artists, and tinkerers. Our passion for making, breaking, creating, destroying, hacking, and tinkering unites us. We have members from all fields of making, from woodworking to sewing, from gardening to chemistry, and from hobbyist programmers to professional penetration testers. Join us, and you will surely find people who share your interests. (Yes, even if your interest is antweight battle bots)

What we do

Currently, our main activities are limited to fostering a community on Discord & Matrix, as well as attending Repair Fairs and other events where we are invited. In the near future, we are planning on creating workshops for our members, as well as holding meetups and popup hacker space events.

In the long run, we aim to get a physical hacker/maker space up and running in Santa Rosa. For this, however, we need funds we currently don’t have. If you want to contribute to achieving this goal, you can head over to our donations page, where you can make one-time or recurring donations to our organization. Memberships start as low as $1 per month, and every dollar counts. We are also a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, meaning all your donations are tax-deductible.
